Babies!!! Born on May Day.

The eggs were just hatching this morning - I was on the way out the door to work when I saw them. I hated to take more than a second to take the picture - mother Robin was letting me know she needed to keep those babies warm!

The babies look so helpless. I wonder if the last egg is going to hatch...

I'm fortunate to have this camera with a 14x optical zoom lens. It looks like I am much closer than I really am when I take these pictures. The babies don't really know when I approach the nest, but their mouths come open when they hear the front door open and close.
